Also, there had been an awful mix-up with the tax assessors and our house was listed in their system with a square footage larger than the actual square footage. Weekend after weekend, Scott had open houses for us and worked with the other realtors to find a buyer. He patiently guided us through the process of adjusting our expectations regarding the sale price due to the condition of the house and the adjusted square footage. He must have been very disappointed when we rejected the first offer because we thought it was too low. (The offer we finally accepted at a later date was pretty similar.) This is the second home Scott has sold for us. He also sold our other home in Oak Hill for us a couple of years ago. He did a great job with that house as well. We highly recommend Scott. He is the best.
Scott Pate was part realtor, part therapist on this one. With the market changing so rapidly during our sell-and-buy period, we were unsure about the best course of action and how to proceed in a way that was beneficial for our family. I loved my experience with Realty Austin. My realtor was Scott Pate and he was nothing but amazing. Being a first-time homebuyer, I didn't know a lot of things and it was a completely new experience for me. Home buying can be a stressful process and worse at the time of this crazy hike this year in home prices and the market competition. But Scott made it really easy for me and explained and guided me a lot throughout the process. He was very patient with me, answered all my questions frankly as well and helped me handle any issue faced/any situation with my builders.
